Selain di Sabang, Kota Banda Aceh sebagai ibukota Provinsi Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam juga menawarkan berbagai destinasi wisata edukasi.

Instead of Sabang, Banda Aceh as the capital of Aceh Province also offers a variety of educative tourism  destinations.

Masjid Raya Baiturrahman (Baiturrahman Grand Mosque)

Masjid ini adalah bangunan bersejarah dan religius yang dibangun pada tahun 1621 saat Aceh masih dipimpin oleh Sultan Iskandar Muda. Dari luar, masjid ini terlihat sangat megah. Saat masuk ke dalam pun saya merasa takjub dengan arsitektur masjid bercat putih ini.

It's historic and religious buildings which was built in 1621 when Aceh was led by Sultan Iskandar Muda. It's magnificent mosque. When coming to the inside of it, I was amazed by the architecture of the mosque.

Masjid ini tidak hanya megah dari arsitektur, tapi juga kokoh. Kekokohannya bisa diingat saat tsunami terjadi tahun 2004 silam. Masjid ini tetap berdiri kokoh sebagai tempat berlindung ratusan orang saat tsunami terjadi.

The mosque is not only a majestic architecture, but also sturdy. Its robustness could be remembered when the tsunami occurred in 2004. The mosque was still sturdy as safe place for hundreds of people throughout the tsunami.

Last but not least, Masjid Raya Baiturrahman ini merupakan icon masyarakat Aceh yang hidup dengan nilai-nilai islami.

Last but not least, the Baiturrahman Grand Mosque is an icon of the Acehnese who live with Islamic values.

 

Pantai Lampuuk (Lampuuk Beach)

Pantai Lampuuk terletak tidak jauh dari kota Banda Aceh, sekitar 20-30 menit.  Pantai ini berhadapan langsung dengan Samudera Hindia.

Lampuuk beach is not far from the city of Banda Aceh. It is about 20-30 minutes. The beach is dealing directly with the Indian Ocean.

Tebing-tebing yang menjulang dan pasir putih yang bersih sangat cocok untuk berselancar, snorkeling, diving, bermain banana boat atau sekadar berjalan-jalan menikmati kebersamaan.

Cliffs and white sand are perfect forsurfing, snorkeling, diving, using banana boat or just walking around enjoying togetherness.

Rumoh Aceh

Suatu siang yang lengang, saya pun berkesempatan mengunjungi Rumoh Aceh. Rumoh Aceh ini adalah museum yang berisi barang-barang tradisional. 

Once in quiet noon, I had opportunity to visit Rumoh Aceh. Rumoh Aceh is a museum that shows us traditional equipments.
